Hyundai Exter – New Breed in Micro SUV
Hyundai Motor India has commenced bookings for its latest entry-level Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), the Hyundai Exter. Based on the Casper model sold in South Korea, the Exter will be the smallest SUV from Hyundai in India and will compete against rivals such as Tata Punch, Citroen C3 and Maruti Suzuki Ignis. The automaker is aiming to appeal to younger buyers and promote the Exter as a lifestyle mobility option. Prospective customers can reserve the mini-SUV by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000.
The Hyundai Exter will be offered in six single-tone color options and three dual-tone color choices. It will be equipped with a 1.2 L Kappa petrol engine and will be available with a choice of either a five-speed manual transmission or a Smart Auto AMT. The Exter will be offered in five different trims, including the EX, S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect.
Hyundai Exter prices are expected to range between Rs. 6.00 Lakh – Rs. 10.00 Lakh, depending on the variant selected.
Hyundai Exter Features: The Hyundai Exter will come packed with a host of features, similar to other models in the automaker’s lineup. Notable highlights will include a sunroof, a full digital speedometer console, a spacious touchscreen display with wireless connectivity for Android Auto / CarPlay, an air purifier, rear AC vents, and true keyless entry with push-button start. Additionally, the Exter will offer Hyundai’s suite of connected apps to enhance the driving experience.
